Our primary mission is to respond effectively to questions about parking tickets, resolve any disagreements through an adjudication process, and to deter illegal parking by successfully collecting parking violation fines. We also adjudicate and collect fines on abandoned vehicles and issue permits for resident parking.Please note:
- Boston City Hall is open for in-person services, but most transactions with our office can be done online.

Resident Parking Permits
Many of the City’s residential streets are now “Resident Parking Only.” You need a permit to avoid getting a ticket.
The City’s parking meters are in operation Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
