Fun Stops are an affordable, flexible option for parents who are looking for a summer activity for their child for a couple hours a day.

• BCYF Paris Street Community Center, East Boston; *Start date and hours TBD

Some locations provide lunch. Other sites may require children to bring their own lunch. Please confirm with staff in advance.

The North End Music and Performance Arts Center is kicking off their 2019 Jazz in the Park Summer Concert Series this July! All four concerts are free, family-friendly, and open to the public. 

• July 9 — MIXCLA (Blend of sounds from the mountains of Chile, traditions of Japan, and fires of Cuba)
• July 16 — Gabrielle Godoman (Jazz, R&B, Classic, and Gospel)
• July 23 — Scanzonati (Blend of Italian Leggera with Jazz harmonies) 
• July 30 — Sawaari (Mix of Indian taals, Arabic maqams, and trance music from North Africa and Italy)

Players will learn the safe, non-contact, flag version of rugby, the fastest growing youth team sport in US and a recognized varsity sport in Massachusetts high schools this spring. They will be taught the basics of the game in a safe, active and supportive environment. Skills that they will learn include:

• ball handling
• running with the ball
• catching and passing
• teamwork, and
• sportsmanship.
