About the event

Want to consume less energy, lower your energy bills, and make your home more comfortable? Learn how to become energy efficient at our event. You’ll get to meet with energy efficiency experts. You’ll also hear about steps you can take to start saving energy through the Mass Save program.

Through the program, you can qualify for:
  • a no-cost home energy assessment
  • a no-cost installation of energy efficient light bulbs and showerhead
  • a smart power strip to plug in electronics you use the most (things like TV sets, cable boxes, gaming systems, and modems), and
  • generous rebates for appliances.

There will be a door prize and refreshments at the event, which is open to the public. Please remember to register for the event ahead of time.

(East) Boston by Hubway

Our public bike-share system is for you! Join staff and volunteers to learn how Hubway works, and enjoy a short ride to some great public spaces that are easy to access by bike share.

During this event, you'll learn about different bike-share membership options. You'll also hear from other residents on how they use Hubway for quick trips to destinations all over the City. If you have basic bike riding skills, but need to build your confidence riding on the street, this clinic is just right for you. We will start out on low-stress streets and paths, so you can get comfortable on the bike and build your skills.

Hubway bikes and helmets are provided at no cost for all participants. If you cannot yet ride independently in a parking lot, please do not register for this event. 

Boston Bikes invites any youth or adults (16 years or older) to participate in our Boston by Hubway rides. Registration is required.
