You are invited to walk or bike along the corridor with Transportation Department staff. Your feedback will inform how the Massachussetts Ave Better Bike project takes shape.

We encourage you to register, which you can do online or by calling Jen Rowe at 617-635-1378. You may choose to either walk or ride a bike. Helmets are required for participants who ride a bike. If you do not have a bike or helmet, we can provide them for you if you register.

Join the Boston Transportation Department and Bluebikes to celebrate the first time that bike share stations have been installed in West Roxbury. The four new stations in West Roxbury are part of new a larger expansion project this year that will add 50 new stations to Boston by the end of 2019.  Try out a bike and join us for a neighborhood ride, explore membership options, and learn about the expanding Bluebikes network in the Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Everett, and Somerville! We'll have giveaways, snacks, and kid-friendly activities.

Bike share stations will be installed at:
  • Spring Street and Powell Street
  • Centre Street at the Parkway YMCA (1980 Centre Street)
  • Centre Street at the Centre Street Post Office (1834 Centre Street)
  • Belgrade Avenue at Anawan Avenue
About Bluebikes

Bluebikes is public transportation by bike. Owned and jointly governed by the municipalities of Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Everett, and Somerville, Bluebikes is a fast, fun, and affordable transportation option. Today, users can ride any of the 2,550 bikes to and from the 258 stations across the region. By the end of 2019, the municipalities will provide 3,300 bikes and 325 stations for their residents, workers, and visitors. Since launching in 2011, 8.5 million trips have been taken on bike share, including more than 1.7 million trips in 2018. Learn more about the Bluebikes expansion.
