1166    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the 

    amount of Seven Million Five Hundred One Thousand Two Hundred 

    Dollars ($7,501,200.00) in the form of a grant for the Federal Highway 

    Administration Grant from the Massachusetts Department of 

    Transportation, Highway Division, to be administered by the Boston 

    Transportation Department and the Boston Public Works Department. The 

    grant will fund a portion of the design cost for the Sullivan 

    Square/Rutherford Avenue project.

    1167    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend a 

    grant from the Boston Planning and Development Agency in an amount not 

    to exceed Four Million Six Hundred One Thousand Five Hundred and 

    Eighty Nine Dollars ($4,601,589.00) which will be allocated to the Mayor's 

    Office of Arts and Culture for its work on Public Arts and Culture efforts.

    amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) in the form of a 

    grant, for the 2022 Transportation Planning Grant, awarded by the 

    Massachusetts Gaming Commission to be administered by the Boston 

    Transportation Department. The grant will fund a portion of the design 

    costs for the Sullivan/Rutherford Avenue project.

0926    The Committee on Housing and Community Development, to which was 

    referred on August 10, 2022, Docket #0926, authorizing the City of Boston 

    acting through it’s Mayor’s Office of Housing  to apply for, accept and 

    expend Sixteen Million Five Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Eight 

    Hundred Thirty One Dollars ($16,527,831.00) provided under Section 231 

    of the Federal Fiscal Year 2020 Appropriations Act for the Continuum of 

    Care program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban 

    Development. These funds will be used to support programs that provide 

    services and housing to the unsheltered homeless, the committee submits a 

    report recommending the order ought to pass.

    1018    The Committee on Housing and Community Development, to which was 

    referred on August 31, 2022, Docket #1018, authorizing the City of Boston, 

    acting through its Mayor’s Office of Housing, to apply for, and to accept 

    and expend, the Federal Fiscal Year 2022 Continuum of Care grant funds 

    from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in an 

    amount not to exceed Forty Five Million Dollars ($45,000,000.00). These 

    funds will be used to support programs that provide services and housing to 

    persons experiencing homelessness, submits a report recommending the 

    order ought to pass.

    0922    Message and order for a supplemental appropriation Order for the Boston 

    Public Schools for FY23 in the amount of One Million Five Hundred Ten 

    Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($1,510,820.00) to cover the 

    FY23 cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreements 

    between the City of Boston and Transdev and its bus drivers on the City’s 

    transportation contract with the vendor, Transdev. The terms of the 

    contracts are July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024. The major provisions of 

    the contracts include base wage increases of 2% in the second and third 

    year of the contract; increases to the report rate and other reforms.

    appropriation for the Reserve for Collective Bargaining by One Million 

    Five Hundred Ten Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars 

    ($1,510,820.00) to provide funding for the Boston Public Schools for the 

    FY23 increases contained within the collective bargaining agreements 

    between the City of Boston and the Transdev and its bus drivers on the 

    City’s transportation contract with the vendor, Transdev.
