Eric Troung

Grants, Budget, and Development Manager

Eric Truong serves as the Grants, Budget, and Development Manager for the City of Boston’s Office of Youth Employment and Opportunity (YEO). In this role, he oversees grant administration, budget development, and procurement strategy to ensure efficient resource allocation and program delivery that expands access and equity for Boston’s youth.

Eric brings a multidisciplinary background that bridges sustainability, infrastructure, and operations. Prior to joining YEO, he supported project controls and commercial management at Arup, an international engineering consultancy, where he contributed to major infrastructure initiatives. He also previously interned at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Building Operations and the Boston Transportation Department, working on data-driven green infrastructure projects and cost-benefit analyses for sustainable development.

Eric is a graduate of Babson College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Operations Management and Sustainability. He also holds a Certificate in Engineering from Olin College of Engineering. As a systems thinker passionate about public service, Eric is particularly interested in building transparent, efficient, and youth-centered government programs.

Eric lives in Boston’s South End neighborhood and enjoys boxing, crafting handmade furniture, and working on open-source civic tech projects in his spare time.
