Rechelle Hypolite
Rechelle Hypolite serves the City of Boston as Case Manager for the Office of Returning Citizens (ORC). In this role, Rechelle provides supportive services and assists returning citizens as they reintegrate into their communities after incarceration. Raised in Boston and daughter of immigrant parents, Rechelle strives to create opportunities for underserved populations to be seen, heard, and empowered.
Prior to joining the ORC, Rechelle worked for The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, where she built nearly 10 years of progressive experience by administering inclusive programming, projects, and case management. Rechelle earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a concentration in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
Her passion has allowed her to direct and implement programming for incarcerated women throughout the Boston area. Rechelle has partnered with Massachusetts General Hospital to create support services for incarcerated survivors of domestic sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. She also oversaw the recruitment of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Borderline Mural Project, a project aimed at utilizing technology to advance social change and create collaboration between inmates at The Suffolk County House of Correction and students at MIT. In her spare time, Rechelle supports the production team of KreateABuzz Documentary films LLC, in helping to create documentaries that showcase social change and the resiliency within marginalized communities of Boston.
