Questions and Answers
Q&AYes. Seattle recently commissioned a similar type of needs assessment. New York state also commissioned a jobs study of the Clean Air Act. Some of the components of this study are similar to those that we are requesting in this RFP.
We are in the process of defining the end points of the City's Green New Deal (GND). Generally, there are goals that are a subset of some of the state’s goals, geographically. Some goals may differ, particularly around transportation and resiliency which are different for urban areas like Boston compared to the state level goals. Ultimately, there is a task in the scope that outlines working with the selected consultant to define the scope of the work and select exactly which GND policies/outcomes will be the basis for this study.
For this assessment, we are interested in taking a regional perspective. The exact geographical scope will be defined in conversation with the selected consultant.
Both. A quantitative jobs study and a qualitative analysis of current job training infrastructure. We envision this to be a mixed method approach.
