COMPREHENSIVE ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING SERVICES

The City of Boston (the “City”), acting by its Director of Talent Acquisition & Compliance (the “Official”), hereby requests sealed proposals from interested and qualified parties (“Offerors”) interested in providing comprehensive alcohol and drug testing services to the City of Boston.

The successful Offeror (the “Vendor”) will provide comprehensive alcohol and drug testing services in accordance with Department of Transportation/Federal Highway Administration (DOT/FHWA) regulations.  

All proposals shall be submitted in strict conformance with the Request for Proposal (“RFP”) which will be posted on the City of Boston’s website and Supplier Portal (http://www.cityofboston.gov/procurement) under Event ID EV00012264, on or after 9:00am, Boston time, on Monday May 8, 2023

Applications to prequalify for contracts for such work will be accepted until 5 p.m., Boston time on May 23, 2023, at the above address or through electronic format on the Supplier Portal. Electronic format is strongly preferred. 

The RFP contains both price and technical evaluation criteria.

The City and the Officials reserve the rights to contract only in those cases and in accordance with those applications as the Officials determine to be in the best interest of the City.  Except in cases of emergency, contracts for individual purchases or instances of work will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder after a solicitation of bids from qualified applicants.

The terms of the contract shall not exceed two (3) years commencing on July 1, 2023.
