                            355 Bennington Street, East Boston

                            Said map amendment would amend “Map 3A/3B, East Boston Neighborhood District,” by adding the designation “D,” indicating a Planned Development overlay to approximately 50,932 square feet (1.17 acres) of land located on the eastern edge of East Boston’s Day Square at 355 Bennington Street (“Project Site”).   Said Development Plan would allow for the demolition of the existing structures occupying the Project Site and the construction of an up to six (6) story, mixed-use development that will include approximately 162,296 square feet of gross floor area, approximately one hundred and seventy (170) residential rental units, approximately 6,985 square feet of ground floor retail space, approximately 81 structured vehicle parking spaces, approximately one hundred and seventy (170) bicycle storage space for residents, approximately thirty-four (34) short term bicycle racks for visitors, approximately 5,800 square feet of new publicly accessible private open space on site, and associated open space, and streetscape improvements.
