Cancer is the leading cause of death in Boston. The Chronic Disease Prevention and Control division addresses inequities in cancer outcomes for Boston residents. The cancers we focus on are: breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, prostate, and skin cancer.
About
In 2018, BPHC released its first cancer surveillance report. The Report explores how cancer impacts Boston residents. It identified certain groups that are more affected than others. It also identifies the role of public health in preventing cancer and improving cancer outcomes.
