Rebecca Arellano (she/her) serves as the Mayor's Strategic Initiatives Manager. She is passionate about sustainability, community organizing, and advancing equity. She has a bachelors in psychology from UMass Boston, a masters in urban affairs from Boston University and an equity leadership certificate from the Harvard Kennedy School. She enjoys kayaking, skateboarding, traveling and shopping locally. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and has lived in Boston since 2009. She identifies as Chicana, Mexican-American, and part Wixáritari.
