My 2020 quarantine story

We're currently collecting stories about living through 2020 from Boston's high school students. Please share your stories, reflections, photos, and audio or video recordings that chronicle your experiences.

Your stories are an important part of Boston's history. At the City Archives, we save stories so that future Bostonians can learn about the history of their community.  We have records and stories of Bostonians going back all the way to the 1600s! Your stories are an important part of Boston's history, and we want to make sure that they are saved for future Bostonians.

About the project

Sharing your story

When you send us your story, we'll make sure that future Bostonians can find it by labeling it with:

  • your name
  • the date you wrote it, and
  • your school.

Then, we'll put it in our digital repository. Future Bostonians will be able to find it and read, watch, or listen to it.

Join history

Your story will live with the stories of other Bostonians who have lived through historic events. Your story will be preserved with stories of people like:

In 100 years, when students want to learn about how Bostonians lived through the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the 2020 presidential election, they'll be able to read your story or watch your recording!
