Red Sox World Series victory parade

The City of Boston will host a parade on Wednesday, October 31, at 11 a.m. to celebrate the Red Sox' World Series victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The parade starts at Fenway Park. The parade route will:

  1. start on Lansdowne Street
  2. take a right onto Ipswich Street
  3. left onto Boylston Street
  4. left onto Tremont Street, continuing onto Cambridge Street, and
  5. right onto Staniford Street, where the parade will end.

The parade route will be closed to traffic starting as early as 5 a.m. on Wednesday. If you park near the parade route, please make sure to check the posted street signs. You can learn more about parking and traffic restrictions below.

  • Street closures

    The Red Sox parade route will close to traffic starting as early as 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Streets in the Fenway area will also begin closing at that time. The other streets listed below are expected to close to traffic between 7 - 9 a.m.

    Public transportation

    We encourage fans to travel by public transportation to see the parade. To learn more about schedules and bus route diversions, please visit the MBTA's website:

    MBTA information

    • The MBTA is adding extra service for Red Sox fans. The commuter rail will have additional coach cars on many of its lines. The MBTA will also have extra employees at major stations. They can help you buy tickets, as well as provide directions and schedule information.
    • Passengers are asked to leave backpacks, coolers, strollers and other large items at home.
    • If you want to park at an MBTA lot, consider parking at one of the lots that have the most capacity on weekdays. You can learn more about parking lot locations and rates on the MBTA's parking website.

    Accessibility

    The City has set up two accessible viewing areas for people with disabilities:

    1. Copley Square at the corner of Boylston Street and Clarendon Street by Trinity Church
    2. City Hall Plaza adjacent to the Government Center MBTA stop

    Please arrive early and check-in with event staff. We encourage anyone attending to take the MBTA.
