National Hispanic Heritage Month
Join us from September 15 - October 15 to celebrate the history and culture of Latinos around Boston.
About the month
National Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate Bostonians whose ancestry can be traced back to:
- Spain
- Mexico
- Central and South America, and
- the Caribbean.
The month highlights the importance of our City’s residents. We showcase their diverse histories and contributions to public life, culture, language, and identity. Every year, we celebrate through a wide range of events.
This year, the Latinx Employee Resource Group (ERG), a network of employees within the City of Boston, is spearheading events during the month. The group is building on its mission to promote the diversity and professional development of its members.
