Janessa Dennis is an ambitious leader with over 10 years of experience and passion for the communications sector. She comes to Boston by way of Clearwater, Florida, where her zeal for media and love for the community was born.

At the tender age of 16, she founded a company that grew into a thriving marketing agency that has since cultivated both Florida and Atlanta's most successful artists, nonprofits, and business owners. Janessa became a first generation graduate of Clark Atlanta University earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion. She is now pursuing a Masters Degree in Historic Preservation and Urban Planning at Boston University. She is a also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated.

Janessa is excited to now serve the City of Boston as Director of Communication and Public Awareness, where she aims to educate and empower individuals and communities through media.
