Fun Stops are an affordable, flexible option for parents who are looking for a summer activity for their child for a couple hours a day.

We are hosting free beginner swim lessons, “Swim for Safety,” for Boston youth ages 4-12 at BCYF pools over April school vacation week. 

BCYF Swim for Safety helps participants become safe and confident around water and eager to continue to participate in aquatics programs.  Locations and schedules are listed below. Please contact the pool directly for more information and to register.

This meet gives all BCYF swimmers the chance to end the swim season in healthy competition against other BCYF centers’ swim teams. 

Clinics will be held on Saturdays starting February 10 and ending March 3 at BCYF Blackstone Community Center in the South End. Equipment will not be provided.

Clinics for ages 12 and under will be held from 2 - 3 p.m. Clinics for ages 14 and under wil be held from 3 - 4 p.m. If you have any questions, email Bill Ryan at Bill.Ryan@Boston.gov.

BCYF Girls Initiative is working with Girls Leap to host a two-day self-defense training for girls ages 12-16. This program will take place on Tuesday, February 20, and Thursday, February 22.
