RSVP now: "We Are Boston 2023" is on Friday, May 19. Space is limited, so please RSVP for the event as soon as possible.

"We Are Boston 2023" will recognize the successes of the past year and name this year’s honorees who are champions of diversity and inclusiveness. The fun-filled evening will include performances and an inspiring program. Corporate sponsorships fund mini-grants for immigrant-serving nonprofits.

This year’s reception is on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 101 Huntington Avenue in Boston. It will be an in-person event. Local immigrant-serving nonprofits, corporate sponsors, and the public are invited to attend. 

"We Are Boston" is hosted by Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement (MOIA), with generous support from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. lived a life dedicated to social justice, equity, service, and community. Under the leadership of Mayor Michelle Wu, the City recently announced two new offices committed to service: The Office of Civic Organizing and the Office of Black Male Advancement. 

The Mayor’s Office of Civic Organizing is committed to collaborative partnerships and programs which encourage proactive community engagement, awareness, and service in our neighborhoods.

The Office of Black Male Advancement works to empower Black men and boys to ensure they have equitable access to opportunities in the City. As part of their work, they focus on policies, programs, resources, and local and national partnerships.

The Office of Civic Organizing and The Office of Black Male Advancement invites you to join a virtual panel discussion in honor of MLK’s legacy and to uplift the power of being civically engaged. This event will be a safe space to also discuss the ongoing work required to address social justice and equity in our city.

2022 Boston Unity Cup Tournament Finals

This adult soccer tournament features 22 flag-bearing nations competing in a World Cup-style tournament finals on November 5.

The Boston Unity Cup is a citywide adult soccer tournament celebrating Boston’s diverse community around a shared passion for sport. 



​Hosted in collaboration with local leaders, community organizations, nonprofit programs, and the City of Boston, the Boston Unity Cup is a testament to the power of partnership and what our city can do when we come together.

The tournament is comprised of 22 flag-bearing nations. Teams will vie for the 2022 Boston Unity Cup during the tournament finals on November 5 at Madison Park Stadium in Boston. The schedule also includes:

  • 10 a.m.  - Youth Jamboree and Resource Fair
  • 12 p.m. - Parade of Nations
  • 2 p.m. - Closing Ceremony and Trophy Presentations
