In partnership with GreenRoots, ACE Solar and Resonant Energy, the City is working to provide East Boston residents the opportunity to generate clean, renewable energy at home, and reduce energy costs.

The webinar will serve as an introduction to the Solarize Eastie pilot program. We will cover what the program is, how it works, who can benefit, why East Boston, as well as program offerings and available subsidies.

Spanish interpretation will be provided. ASL or any other interpretation can be requested.

Topics include Boston's building stock, energy use, and emissions; locally appropriate decarbonization strategies; electricity emissions accounting; and emerging decarbonization strategies. This recorded webinar will be used for training future Air Pollution Control Commission and Review Board members

Presented by Rick Hollander from RMI. BERDO requires that large buildings reach emissions standards that decline to net zero by 2050. A zero-over-time (ZOT) approach focuses on cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy by prioritizing projects that pay back quickly in the short term, while aligning larger energy efficiency projects with major building life-cycle events, like equipment upgrades.
