Greenovate Boston Youth Climate Leaders seminar
Join a climate leadership session to support the next generation of climate leaders!
The Youth Climate Leaders Program is meant to develop and give the necessary tools to take climate leadership in a constantly changing climate. The program culminates in workshops that expose them to different leaders in the climate and environment field to start preparing them for the future of climate change. They will also learn how to organize climate actions and undertake/support the efforts that they are leading. Due to the vulnerability that youth pose, not only now, but in the future as the impacts of climate change are exacerbated, they must take leadership now and develop the framework by which they address climate change.
This seminar will highlight the current climate and sustainability work happening in the City of Boston, and the people that do this work. Attendees will learn the individual paths that each of the presenters took to get to their current positions. This will help explain the pathway each presenter took to get into their field and best practices for today's youth to achieve the same. Presenters will be split up based on Greenovate vision areas: Connected City; Prepared City; Smart Energy City; Mobile City; Zero Waste City.
