The Department of Neighborhood Development attended the Intervale St./ Normandy St. ResidentsAssociation; Devon, Normandy, Brunswick Sts. Residents Association and Stanwood St./ Columbia Road Neighborhood Association to discuss what the community would like for the city-owned parcel,90 Geneva Ave, in anticipation of an upcoming Affordable Housing RFP.

DND released an RFP in February 2021 for preservation of this parcel as urban agriculture, and received one proposal from Boston Food Forest Coalition in partnership with Farmers Collaborative. DND will hold a virtual Developer Presentation so that BFFC/Farmers Collaborative can present their proposed design for the project, which includes a greenhouse and beehives, and seek feedback from abutters and other neighbors. Residents are invited to give their feedback on a proposal to preserve this parcel as permanent open space, with a focus on urban agriculture and community food access. The proposal under consideration would potentially include a greenhouse and beehives, and your feedback is essential to DND's review process.

Located on Milford Street at the corner of Taylor Street, Watson Park I and II are located across Taylor Street from each other. The larger, Watson Park I, is 2,500 SF and the smaller, Watson Park II, is a mere 400 SF. Mature trees provide ample shade to the seating areas in these tucked-away park gems.
