Caroline K. Foscato
Caroline K. Foscato is the President and Founder of Soccer Unity Project, a non-profit driven to reimagine the power of soccer to build community, connect people from diverse backgrounds, and promote equity in youth play. Launched in 2022, Soccer Unity Project is the parent organization for South End Soccer, Boston Unity Cup, and additional youth and adult programs using sport for social cohesion and youth development.
With over 20 years of experience as a leader and pioneer within the sports youth development world, Caroline has been at the forefront of advancing equity and inclusion, and addressing systemic inequalities in soccer. Caroline has worked tirelessly to promote opportunities for girls and women of any backgrounds to be represented in all levels of sports. Understanding the power of collaboration, Caroline has brought together community leaders, policymakers, and business leaders to have dialogues, find common ground and develop relationships. She has gained recognition for creating innovative models, and has spoken at local and national conferences and events, sharing her insights on social entrepreneurship and sport for change.
Caroline currently serves on the board of Roxbury YMCA and Boston Scores. She has been an advisor for several organizations including Mass Youth Soccer Association, US Soccer Foundation, US Youth Soccer, Boston Planning and Development Association, Boston Public Schools and Boston Centers for Youth and Families.
Born in Virginia, Caroline moved to Boston after attending Longwood University where she studied Sociology and Business. Caroline and her husband live in Boston where they raised their twin sons.
