About our list
In 2014 Mayor Walsh established the Office of Economic Development. Since our inception, our team has been focused on equity. We want to ensure that residents of color can share equally in our City’s economic prosperity.
Businesses owned by Black and Brown Bostonians are integral to our social and economic fabric. That's true whether they have been here for generations or recently arrived. This list is meant to showcase our businesses that have Black and Brown owners. We are also continuously working to support small businesses in many ways.
