Nathalia Ferreira da Silva
Nathalia Ferreira da Silva was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and decided to come to the U.S. to improve her English through a Cultural Exchange program in 2019. She was paired with a family in Massachusetts and ended up falling in love with the City of Boston. She moved to Brighton in 2021, and she’s been living there ever since.
Nathalia’s background is in the creative side of communication, crafting campaigns for both digital and traditional media. She holds a degree in Social Communication with a minor in Marketing and Advertising from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, located in São Paulo, Brazil. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Babson College.
She is excited to bring the Mayor’s Office of Civic Organizing (OCO) and its incredible projects to life and make a positive impact on the daily lives of Boston residents. She is eager to be part of the amazing efforts of connecting with Boston residents through OCO’s communication channels and raising their awareness of the fantastic resources the City has to offer. She is excited to create opportunities for everyone to get involved in their local communities.
Civic engagement shows up in her personal life through volunteer work. She loves to connect and be involved with nonprofits. She believes it's essential to be a part of making the community better and happier. Her life dream is to help establish a nonprofit aimed at empowering single mothers to thrive professionally, providing them with the support and resources they need to achieve their full potential.
Nathalia loves traveling and exploring new places—especially museums. But most of the time, you can find her at home, comfortably reading a book or watching cooking shows. She loves to cook, and whenever she needs to unwind, she will go to the kitchen and try to prepare new recipes.
