Nadia Kline joined the City of Boston Archaeology Program in 2019 as the Digital Archaeologist funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities under the Humanities References and Collections Resources Grant. She is working to digitally document some of the City’s most historically and culturally significant collections and make them available to the public through artifact photography, searchable online databases, virtual exhibits, and social media engagement.

Nadia received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Adelphi University, master’s degree in Historical Archaeology from UMass Boston, and graduate certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Kentucky. She spent several years as a field archaeologist and laboratory technician in the cultural resource management sector before joining the City of Boston Archaeology crew. She specializes in the archaeology of the northeastern United States and is particularly interested in personal adornment and dress. 

Originally a South Shore native, Nadia is now a resident of Jamaica Plain where she spends her time filling her home with plants, scoping out the historic houses in the area, and making friends with the neighborhood dogs .
