Advocacy and administration

Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Director

The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Director is responsible for the overall planning for the Area Agency on Aging and the Elderly Commission as mandated under the Older Americans Act. Research and developing priorities for Title III-B Older Americans Act funds in conjunction with the Advisory Council, Planning sub-committee and information dissemination on needs of Boston's older adults. Director of Human Resources

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Administration & Finance, the Director of Human Resources acts in a confidential capacity and serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Department to ensure effective personnel management and the development of human resource programs.  Leads all processes related to human resources and payroll functions of the Department. Director of Planning and Grantmaking

The Director of Planning and Grantmaking is responsible for assessing community needs and service gaps, program planning, funding prioritization, strategic partnership development, and capacity-building across Boston's aging services network. Behavioral Health Director

The Behavioral Health Director is responsible for leading the Age Strong Commission’s mental and behavioral health work.  This includes new program implementation and evaluation, facilitating service coordination with partner agencies and providers, and training of Age Strong staff and service providers, as well as consultation, assessment, and evaluation of older adults experiencing challenges related to their behavioral health. Human Resources & Payroll Specialist

East Boston Senior Center

Senior Center Director - East Boston

The Senior Center Director serves as the administrator of a community based Senior Center for the Age Strong Commission. This position is responsible for the planning, organization, and administration of the senior center in accordance with the participants’ needs, government regulations, and center policies and procedures.  The position requires a combination of administrative, managerial, program development and implementation as well as direct service skills with a commitment to working with older adults to improve their quality of life.
