International Women's Day is a global celebration of the contributions of women and girls. Adapted by the United Nations in 1975, it is a day to celebrate the progress women have made while embracing opportunities for change in pursuit of gender equity. 2020 is the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote becoming part of the U.S. Constitution, so this year's event looks to the next 100 years of women's vote with a theme of, "Today's Girls, Tomorrow's Voters."

This event will feature presentations and performances by young Bostonians, remarks from Mayor Walsh, and the unveiling of a poster exhibit of modern takes on women's right to vote.
