William E. Carter School Project

The City of Boston, acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department (PFD), 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02118 hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority hereby invites sealed bids from those pre-qualified trade contractors for the above-entitled project.

 

Bids shall be on a bid form supplied by PFD, clearly identified as a bid, and signed by the bidder. All

trade contractor bids for this project are subject to all applicable sections and provisions of M.G.L.

Chapter 149A and M.G.L. Chapter 149, including prevailing wages, bonds and insurance, and all.

submissions shall be in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled:

William E. Carter School Project

This project has prequalified firms that submitted Statements of Qualifications per the prior

advertisement. This project is not seeking new bidders.

The scope of work includes the construction work of the new William E. Carter School, 86,130 GSF,

Grades PK-12 for up to (60) students located at 396 Northampton St, Boston, MA 02118.

Prequalified firms must submit filed sub-bids with the Awarding Authority at the Bid Counter, 1010

Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02118 before 12 p.m. (twelve o’clock) on March 15, 2023, at which time and place respective sub-bids will be opened forthwith and read aloud.

Filed Sub-bid trade(s): Elevators, Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron, Acoustical Tile, Roofing and

Flashing, Glass and Glazing, Tile, Resilient Floors, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical,

Masonry and Waterproofing, Damp-proofing, and Caulking.

Plans and specifications will be available on or about February 20, 2023. Plans and specifications are

only available electronically and by requesting access for such through bid.info@boston.gov.

Deadline for questions: March 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. all questions must be submitted in writing directly to bid.info@boston.gov.
